Merge TV show episodes that are combined

Several TV shows that are on bluray, the episodes are combined. For example, Space Ghost & Dino Boy. Not sure if the episodes actually originally aired like this or not, but in this example it has a Dino Boy episode sandwiched between 2 Space Ghost episodes. TVDB and TMDB has them broken out, even in DVD order and absolute order.
So the question is, to avoid having to mess with splitting the MKV files, I would like to request the ability to merge episodes and show the details for each one. This would save a ton of time. Right now if you have the file labeled as S01E01E02E03, Plex will break it down just like it was scraped, but if you want to watch episode 3, it doesnt start there, it will start at the beginning of the file with episode 1.

There’s already an existing feature suggestion asking to treat multi-episode files as a single library entry.

Display single file multi episode shows in a single item

a way to have Plex display single file multi episode shows in a single item, ex: episode name, Episode 1-2, instead of duplicating it in the display and playing the full file twice. Instead of having to split the files, or only having one of the episodes in the file name, making it seem like im missing something. also: ability to show multi part movies in a way that makes sense, like part 1 and 2 under the same Title, instead of showing it as if there was a duplicate movie.

Unless I’m completely confusing your meaning I suggest you comment/vote in that existing thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes (and closing this thread as a duplicate).
