Hi,
I've been using plex 8 for a year and it was the only media player for mac (including vlc, mplayer, qt with perian...) that got Hebrew subtitles (SRT or SUB) right (and all other Right to Left languages as far as I know), which means that all punctuations were aligned the right way.
But now, in Plex 9, everything is broken and worse - punctuation is reversed (Think about reading a sentence in english like that: ?Are you home ), but what's worse is that the line order is reversed as well - first spoken line is on the bottom and the second spoken line is on top.
Now for the really odd part - when the subs are in *Italic* everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is fine! including the punctuation and the line order.
I'm no coder or programmer, just a very advanced end-user who even bought a new mac-mini just for plex9, and I represent a large hebrew-speaking community devoted to plex but one who is about to fall to such as boxee. I don't know how much longer can I defend the fortress.
It seems like a code that worked in 8 was broken in 9, can anyone please help make things better again?
Thank You.
Omer.
Btw, I work at the Israeli apple premium reseller and we have our own “smart living room” showroom with a home theater display based on a mac mini with pled and having hebrew subtitles to show for is a must, so help us finally upgrade to plex 9…
Hi, Im new to Plex and and first of all please allow me to say: what a great software and how much me and my family enjoy's it!
We are also using the iPhone app and its a real treat using it. (nice job on the pairing issue's, usually it takes much more time to connect after the iPhone's auto lock)
I would like to join the request of Omer Ninyo, the subtitles are a key feature for my kids when they watch there cartoons.
It would be great if this issue could resolved, as I understood from other users, in the previous version the subtitle were working fine.
As for my experience, it's not fixed. (I have the latest version - 0.9.2.5)
On the Mac client however it works great! But it appears that on any iOS device it doesn't (The same problem continues on both my iPad and ATV2)
