I thought must be as it’s a foreign language movie… so I tried to manually match it using id 12200652 in the title with match function… that too returned no match…
I wonder why? There are some other movies in the same language that Plex finds… but many many others - it does not. Example of a same language movie it finds is
I’ve had very little success using IMDb as my agent so… Not much I can say there but… The movie Bhannat Bhanu is not listed at TheMovieDb.org. Try and search for the movie using Plex Movie. I believe it scans both resources.
Thanks for reply trumpy81. But in that case none of the Marathi movies would match via imdb right? That’s not the case. about 10% movie match on their own just on the titles… The rest don’t… I compared the one match and one did not on their language too… both list language as Marathi in imdb.
I am fine if it does not match auto… but when I got to fix match and specifically provide the movie id in title field at least then it should fetch the data… that’s all I expect…
Hello NewPlaza. Thanks for your reply. I am searching using Plex Movie itself. That fails. Just want to highlight the fact that I observed that meta.plex.tv is not returning this movie even if one gives direct moviedbid and search it manually in url. I think issue is not with plex server it may be in the implementation of search logic in meta.plex.tv.
I don’t need auto match logic to work… I just need plex to get info when I specifically give imdbid in title and match manually. ( limited expectations right? )
