Metadata Covers missing - during initial scan only 10% have covers (other metadata successful). Initial scan seems to intrrupt midway and rescan entire library removing even the 10% covers found

Hi I am running a Dell PowerEdge T30 Windows 10. Filesystem is NTFS. Movie database 1400 movies

Basic Problem:

Gets very few cover photos for movies. When library loads from scratch - Silhouette of movie posters load with correct names (ex. The Avengers) and movie year. As the scan goes on, it seems to analyze the file and load the metadata for all files in process but not the cover photo (only loads about 1 cover photo every 10 movies. I notice that the scan gets interrupted and it starts rescanning the whole library again but this time removing even the 10% cover photo matches found and even changing the movie names to file names (ex. The.Avengers.2012.mp4). This leaves maybe 2% left with cover matches and correct movie names.

I have tried manually fixing matches but it doesn’t change the anything since it seems to have found the right match already. The cover remains missing and the movie name remains as the file name.

I have already set the only checked agents as The Movie Database and Plex Movie.
I have already tried deleting the movie library, rescanning, optimizing, cleaning bundles and emptying trash then reloading but the same problem persists (initial scan just seems longer before getting interrupted and then removing found movie names and cover photos).
I have also tried loading much smaller batches of movies at a time but the problem persists

Additional Background:

New Computer and transferred all my media files from external hdd that were used on a plex media server on a MacBook (no problems on metadata on MacBook).

Go to

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB

In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase

Disable IPv6 in the properties of the network adapter.

Forbid the anti virus software to interfere in the Plex data folder

Shut down Plex server + https://support.plex.tv/articles/202967376-clearing-plugin-channel-agent-http-caches/

Restart the computer.

Looks like clearing out the cache worked, thanks!
