+1 having option to edit cast is a huge plus especially some of the movies/tv shows can’t be found in the database.

I found a way to edit the cast data by calling the plex API in a python script.
If there is enough demand for it i can build a simple GUI around it and release it.

@Hakulaku I for one have interest. I would love to be able to add the kids as the cast for home movies they are in so when I want to view my FAVORITE kid I can search by cast

It’s been almost four years since this feature was first requested. This should have been a basic functionality from the outset. We need to be able to edit the Cast on movies and tv shows. Please do your job, developers. We are paying you for this.

+1 for editing cast. I can’t “correct” a persistent mismatch in metadata for the BBC’s David Tennant (not Kenneth Branagh) version of Hamlet.

Also be nice if they had season specific cast… since shows like True Detective don’t have the same cast for all seasons.

I’ve just recently moved to Plex after using XBMC/Kodi for many years and I’ve regularly found myself missing having better off-line metadata management/control.
I was a heavy user of MediaCompanion (https://sourceforge.net/projects/mediacompanion) for exactly this purpose and I used it to make sure I had a .nfo full of accurate metadata and artwork I was happy with (and high-resolution) before content was added into my system.
