Metadata has stopped aggregating

Server Version#: 1.13.9.5456
Player Version#: 3.53.7

Hello. I’ve been running Plex on my Drobo5N for about 4 years now… recently the metadata has stopped loading.

I’ve cleared the cache in \SERVERNAME\DroboApps\plex\Library\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Caches
I’ve tried rearranging the agents
and read and read and read… I can’t seem to find a fix.

I’m aware that I don’t have the latest public version. I’ve manually updated it and my Drobo refuses to run it until I downgrade back to the version listed above (1.13.9.5456)

I feel that I’ve hit the extent of what I’m comfortable doing and having it being run on a Drobo… I’ve extremely limited on what I’m able to do anyway.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

UPDATE: Updating here to help someone else. I’ve come to the conclusion that the power outages were the culprit. I uninstalled PMS and I couldn’t delete certain folders in the DroboApps folder. I tried to reinstall and had the same result.

Long story short… I uninstalled again and realized that I couldn’t delete the folders but I could rename the root plex folder. After renaming it, I reinstalled from the Drobo dashboard and I’m back up and running and pulling metadata.

I believe 1.13.9 actually is the latest public version…

Have you checked the logs of your Plex Media Server for any obstacles (e.g. networking errors…)?

PMS told me that there’s an update and I’m on the Public channel, so I assumed it was correct.
I’ve opened the logs and to be honest, it’s all just a bunch of confusion.

Did you recently change anything about the restrictions (permissions, file access…) or network settings on your Drobo?
Those logs are pretty much flooded with errors in both areas (file/folder check or creation errors on your local install and agent requests failing or returning empty results for proper requests).

Unfortunately, I haven’t touched a thing. My Drobo runs Plex, backs up my photos (photographer) and it gets backed up to a cloud service that doesn’t even run on the Drobo. That’s it.

Nothing has changed that I’m aware of. That’s why I’m so lost on how to fix it. I REALLY don’t want to have to reinstall Plex but I’ve seen where it’s solved the issue for some. I would prefer a better alternative if there is one.

The only thing that was out of the norm was I did lose power last week and the drobo obviously went off, though it has a batter to “ensure” it shuts itself down. Yes the power was off for ~3 days but that won’t matter. Not sure if the loss of power would be able to do this or not.

I have also dropped from Premium to free recently but that shouldn’t affect it either.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I’ve just reinstalled… it’s still not pulling any metadata.
