PMS on Drobo5N stopped fetching metadata

Sometime around Nov 2020, the PMS on my Drobo5N stopped being able to fetch metadata. Movies added since then have no posters, either. If I try to manually add a poster (via the Plex for Windows app on Windows 10), I can’t even specify a URL to download the poster from; I have to save the file manually to my PC, and use that.
