I want to start this by saying this is a solution topic. After taking a step back from the problem I was able to find an existing solution here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/202967376-clearing-plugin-channel-agent-http-caches/
The problem: After adding two new TV Shows into the appropriate Library, all requisite text metadata was downloaded, but I wasn’t seeing any poster artwork coming in. I tried various functions of the web interface to scrape the data from TheTVDB to no avail. I decided an update was in order and it was at that point that I noticed that root was filling up. I made amends to the powers-that-be and got more free space. This did not immediately solve my problem. This is where I stumbled on the article above and noticed that after clearing the …Plug-in Support/Caches/com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb directory, I was able to “Unmatch” the offending show; “Fix Match…”; and “Auto Match” :: TheTVDB. It took some time, but all of the artwork showed up after this and now I have a lot more free space to play with. Try these steps if you think there is a file lock, directory corruption, or just lack of free space when you attempt a Metadata scrape. I hope this helps someone out there.
This absolutely fixed the problem for me. Thanks so much!
