Metadata is only recognized irregularly or after several manual attempts

Since I speak German as my native language, I have named my series in German from the beginning and, as already mentioned, had no problems with it for years. My complete library is based on this naming.

The problems occurred only a few weeks ago, so it can’t be generally due to the naming of episodes or series. This is also confirmed by the statements of other users who report similar or the same problem.

And the series concerned have German translations, if we were already on the subject.

I grew up in a German-English house as well although did favor English being in the USA.

Can you give me some examples?

I will be glad to make a specific German section and test this further to find out what’s wrong.

Do you foresee any problems with my not having an Umlaut-capable keyboard?

Are you using the new metadata agent? it’s horrible for me too :frowning:

The new metadata agent only works for movies.
I have had no issues with it whatsoever.

I have currently imported a few movies and can give them to you here as examples.

The movies that have been imported, with just a few have been correct with metadata:

Overall actual log file:

I have created the titles you’ve given above, except for those in English titles.

My results differ.

Below is what I see so far, having set Germany as the governing naming authority.

May I have a listing of titles, in text form, so I may populate a full list?

The problem that I am currently seeing is that I have named some movies just like you and the movies are not recognized on the first try. But sometimes they are recognized and named correctly in the second or third attempt.

Even if I name them like you in tests, it can make a difference, but it doesn’t have to.
As before, not recognizing a pattern.

And I’m not ready to rename all my movies that were recognized correctly before and are not recognized now for some reason.

The only practicable way for me would be to automatically rename all my movies into their English names, even if that doesn’t solve the problem that a short time ago everything was recognized correctly and now it is only partially recognized or first not recognized and then in the second or third attempt.

I assume that you have adapted the titles by hand and that this is how the typos were created. And yet everything was recognized correctly, or did you have to make adjustments?

Another thing is that I did not name the files manually or with the filebot, but that Radarr did it automatically and the same phenomenon occurs here.

I’d like to understand the logic behind this, but that seems to be impossible at the moment, your effort in honor Chuck.

Hey guys, you might be running into this bug which we will be fixing in PMS 1.20.1

Tried uncheking “Include Adult Content”.

Still no luck fixing my problem.
