adding an anime that has an OVA and a tv series but plex cant tell the difference it combines the OVA series with the tv series but they are not the same how do i fix this

This is mainly about naming and usually gives proper results.
You can split the show inside Plex (works only on the show level!!) and fix-match the OVA series. The more sustainable approach would be fixing the names; optionally including a hint to what show Plex should match it (e.g. Doctor Who (2005) {tvdb-78804}; also works with references to IMDb and TMDb) – this way you don’t have to worry about manually splitting / fixing the match if you ever have to rebuild your server / library.

Doctor Who (2005) {tvdb-78804} do i put this in the file name or search can you send me a screen shot maybe?

You can put it in the show’s folder name.

TV Shows   <- the folder linked to your library
  Doctor Who (2005) {tvdb-78804}
    Season 01
      Doctor Who (2005) - s01e01 - Rose.ext
      ...

Alternatively you can also use the term in the fix-match menu (then without the curly brackets → tvdb-78804).
