Metadata suddenly disappeared

Went to watch something and Plex could not connect to server.
Restarting server usually fixes this but not this time.
Updated Plex on the server, all the metadata was gone.
All my custom posters and backgrounds are gone.
I’m running Plex on a terramaster f5-221.

What caused this and what can I do to prevent this from happening ever again? It will take me weeks to get all my metadata how I had it. Thanks in advance.

Looks like it was because I hit the”reset” button at some point.
