Hi Folks,
When I was building a library for the "Ambient Nights" albums (www.ambient-nights.org) I ended up with the famous "Unknown Artist" and "Uknown Album" problems.
The ID3Tag are correct, as is the directory structure and the Personal Media Artists agent was selected during the scan, but the problems were still there.
Hours I have been looking, trying, rescan library etc until I noticed that the incorrect albums were not playing the music. And then I saw the great light. "Maybe there is something wrong with the file permissions on the server" I was thinking.
And there it was, the solution. I changed the permissions so that external "users" (as plex is for my openmediavault) can read the files. Off course, plex needed acces to the files to read them. How dumb hé.
