Metadata with several artists

Dear all
I was just wondering how metatdata with several artists has to be entered to show them as e.g. two seperate artists.
If entered like this Wiener Philharmoniker\ Leonhard Bernstein it shows in PLEX like this Wiener Philharmoniker; Leonhard Bernstein but reacts as one artists.
How to do it correctly?

Plex doesn’t currently support multiple artists for the same item.

Is there any plan to support this in the near future? It seems a feature that might come in handy.

Maybe an album with two (or more artists) appears in a shared category within each artist, like Albums, Singles & EPs, Live Albums, Shared Albums

I‘m not aware of Plex roadmap… they usually don’t share that publicly.

But there’s a related feature suggestion where you can catch up, comment and vote for this feature.

Better support for albums and tracks with multiple artists

Currently, Plex is basically limited so that every album and track has one and only one artist. A ton of songs have more than one artist, and currently, there’s no good way to represent this in Plex. You could set the artist to something like “ArtistA and ArtistB”, but then that track/album will show up as a new artist, and it won’t show up under “ArtistA” or “ArtistB”. This is inconvenient and annoying. Instead of the “artist” field just being a text box, what if it were a “tags” box, where yo…
