Hi, This is my first post. I recently signed up for plex and have been very impressed so far, I however have a strange query
I own a lot of movies that were purchased through iTunes, subsequently I have removed the drm from these allowing me to add them to the plex library, however when the metadata is downloaded I still get the same info as what would be displayed if I was looking at it in iTunes. My question is… Is there a way to change this so that I get as much information as I would on any of my other movies that have just been ripped from a dvd. Ive tried refreshing the metadata but it doesn’t seem to change it at all

if you have local media assets activated and highly ranked in Settings > Server > Agents :: Movies > your agent, Plex will prioritize embedded metadata over online metadata (at least for mp4/m4v containers).
You can try reducing the priority of Local Media Assets or alternatively strip your file(s) of the embedded metadata and subsequently re-scan your library.
