I recently got a synology nas and put Plex on it. Why do some of the movies have the poster and metadata while most do not? If I try to fix the match Plex says nothing found. Please help

IDK if you figured it out already or not, but incase… Can try a few things.

  1. to the left you see “Movies”, “tv shows”, “music”… ect. Hover over any of them and you’ll see 3 dots. Click this and then “scan library files”.
  2. Go to the movie or show that is missing the poster.
    A) Click the 3 dots in the lower right hand corner and then “Refresh metadata”
    or B) “Fix match”. From there you can manually match it via different data bases/agents.
  3. If all these fail or it’s videos you made or the like, You can manually add a poster, Background and info by Clicking the pencil icon at the lower left of any movie/video.
    Hope that helps, and for some movies, even though Plex found them, I used option 3 to change the artwork to my liking.
