Mi-box transcoding because of new subtitle system in plex pass beta

Server Version#: 1.20.3.3483
Player Version#: Mi Box Android TV
So when running this file (XML): https://pastebin.com/Rh12RPK2
It starts to transcode. When I check with tautulli it shows:

Product
Plex for Android (TV)

Player
MiBox S

Quality
Original (14.8 Mbps)

Stream
Transcode (Speed: 0.7)

Container
Converting (MKV > MKV)

Video
Transcode (H264 (HW) 1080p > H264 (HW) 1080p)

Audio
Direct Stream (AAC Stereo)

Subtitle
Burn (SRT)

Transcoder log: https://pastebin.com/Eh0U8TH3

I am guessing it is because of the new subtitle system:

<Stream id="22393" streamType="3" codec="srt" index="2" bitrate="0" language="English" languageCode="eng" requiredBandwidths="1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1" title="SDH" displayTitle="English (SRT)" extendedDisplayTitle="SDH (English SRT)"/>

(just a note: there is not subtitle file downloaded in the directory so i am guessing it is in the file?)
I tried to stream it without a subtitle to see if that helps but it doesn’t. It crashes and shows:

An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again."

Logs can be found here: https://wetransfer.com/downloads/68dc2824b3368a3b8da45657f251a1dc20201023122901/f8c9dfa9e97e74d43d8ad2692a95a89e20201023122915/f168e6

Enabled crash reporting and debug log here you go:

Clear out any Sync jobs in Plex Settings > Server > Sync.

There are no sync jobs, it isn’t used, never has been.

Please do NOT point a Plex library to a file download location. That can cause issues with Plex and may even corrupt your database. Files should be moved to a Plex library folder location AFTER they have been fully downloaded.

Plex is not pointed to the download location. I am using Radarr/Sonarr. The are being downloaded in a special folder, renamed and moved to the new folder.
Download folder is: /downloads/complete/movies or /downloads/complete/series/
Plex directory is: /downloads/movies/ or /downloads/series/

I will look into the DNS error. Thanks for pointing that out.

Why is it doing that? In the XML I cannot find anything related to the HLS protocol. As far as I know it’s just a MKV 1080p file.

So if I understand it correctly. HLS has something to do with the encoding of the container? And why is it crashing instead of playing?

How can I fix the sync errors?

Will look into the sync part. So how come all the other items play perfectly direct play? And this one crashes when playing? Except when I add a subtitle to it then it transcodes?

got it thanks for the help.
