It would be very handy to have a migrate button to move folders that otherwise have not changed from one location(on the same drive or on a different drive). The main reason this would be helpful is that when i do buy a new Hard Drive and need to move from and older drive to a new, it always just re-populates my library in that folder no matter what i do. This way it could just change the drive path of said folder and not put everything in that folder as new items in my recently added list. Now if this does work for other and just not myself just tell me ill get rid of this post haha… maybe I’m doing something wrong.
Plex is emptying the trash after every scan and if you disable this option the moved files won’t show as new. Before moving them uncheck this option and move away. After moving let it settle for a few minutes then enable again and you’re all set.
Settings - Library - “Empty trash automatically after every scan”

Thanks kronnn, I will delete this post because I did transfer folders yesterday and it seemed to have worked fine. A few months ago I did a transfer (not the first time I swapped hard drives) and it did not keep my old library files. I don’t think I ever removed that option but it is completely possible. Thanks again
