Plex not seeing new path after folder moved

I’m running on windows 10 Plex pass for many, many years.

I’m trying to better organize the storage of my folders and I’m moving them around consolidating some etc… to keep it simple I’ve moved a folder… same name, same files to just a different drive. I see lots of trash can icons but I cannot get it to scan and see the new drive location for all of those files.
I went into setting deleted old drive location and added the new drive location.
One folder I moved a month ago and it still hasn’t seen/updated.
However If I add say a new tv show it will find that file right away for that folder.
I’ve hit the refresh metadata with no luck.

Force scanning is a joke. Trying to stop scanning it just ignores me. I seriously think those buttons should go away.

Have you done the ‘plex dance’?

  1. Move the affected file/folder to a location where plex can’t see it.
  2. Scan for changes in that library.
  3. Empty trash for that library.
  4. Move the file/folder back.
  5. Scan for changes again.

Can you post a copy of your server logs? Lets see if there is anything obvious there before we start going down the diagnostic tree.
