Recently got a DS918+ and wanted to move Plex media server off my PC and run it from the nas instead. I had a previous thread bookmarked that had steps, but it appears to have disappeared. Is there a cheat sheet floating about, or should I just manually duplicate my setup on the ds918?
If the operating system of the NAS is the same as your computer, this page will help.
They aren’t the same OS (windows vs. Synology NAS), but moving the folders over appears to have worked. I can’t speak to what people with registry entries would need to do to move between oses, but thankfully that wasn’t a problem for me.
