Migrating Plex Server from a WD PR4100 NAS to a brand new unRaid server

I currently have my Plex server on my WD PR4100 NAS. I have over 4 years of highly personalized and customized metadata, posters, collections, watch history, etc… The official migration support page on Plex website only seems to cover migration between the same OS. But I want to move my Plex server from my WD PR4100 to my brand new unRaid server that will arrive on Wednesday. After that, I am going to dismantle my RAID in my WD PR4100 and add those disks to my array in my unRaid server.

There are several reasons for this, the first is that the WD PR4100 will not transcode h265 videos very well at all. Second I want to have a RAID array where I can expand it with any size disk. My new server is pretty close to top of the line with Intel i9 3900k with 770 integrated graphics for transcoding, 128 GB of ECC memory, and 2x 14TB + 4x 10TB + 1x 12TB + 3x 1TB drives (83TB of HD space - 2x 14TB for parity = 54TB usable hard drive space).

I SSH’ed into my WD PR4100 and I have backuped the entire Plex folder to a remote USB drive. I have all of media backedup onto a separate USB drive, so I have all the parts saved. Plus I have the original Plex server still running on PR4100. I am keeping it there until I get it running on my unRaid.

There is no way I am lucky enough that that it is simple enough to install Plex in my unRaid system, connect it my Plex account. I copy the exact same folders and media to my unRaid system, add the unRaid media folders to my libraries on my unRaid system… and Plex will migrate the meta data over? Then I can just remove the folders in my PR4100 and only use my Plex on my unRaid? Plex of course wouldn’t make it easy…so what do I have to do?

So has anyone had the experience / advice / resource links for migrating a Plex server from a WD PR4100 to an unRaid system?
