Server Version#: 1.29.1.6260 (Beta channel)
Player Version#:1.26.1.3276-53fefb7d
Hello to all, sorry if I am posting something that has been already asked, I searched the forum but without success, anyway during streaming from my pc (the 1080p video file is stored on a mechanical hard drive) to my television I experienced mini stuttering during playback, I must add that the stream passes first through my access point in my bedroom and then through the principal router from there it goes to an old NUC with windows 10 attached to my TV, all the path is cabled nothing wireless. My external HDD works fine during local playback, using MP-HC and madvr so I don’t think it’s the problem. Tomorrow I will try the htpc plex player client and I’ll try using PLEX on my ipad always staying in my tv room. Any help is very appreciated, Thank you!
You’ve got a good server version. You can enable debug logging on the server and player, then power cycle everything in the playback chain, then demonstate the problem, then Settings → Troubleshooting → Download Logs, zip and drop them into your reply so we can see your server logs and player log.
It would help a lot if you screenshot your dashboard details of the video while it’s playing.
In general, dozens of subtitle tracks are problematic. One or two is better. Also there are plex settings for Quality that you should read about in the Plex website articles.
Enable refresh rate switching to get rid of micro stutters.
Play with the Playback Quality selector, particularly on low powered systems like this NUC.
Thank you very much for your suggests so far, I didn’t check a new media streaming, but ASAP I will try what Otto said and after I will creare a debug log as nibbles told me. Thanks again!
