As a side note, the MPV plater used on iOS devices and the Apple TV, do not have this issue. This is purely an exoplayer issue. In my case, I use an Nvidia Shield TV.
This was working at one point with the 6.13.7 release and then was broken again from 6.14 on. I still find it hard to believe that they cannot look at the code base changes from 6.13.7 to 6.14 and figure out what they broke.
@anon18523487 can you provide any update on this? Itâs now the only remaining visual issue with VOBSUBs on platforms using exoplayer (the shield, in my case).
This is happening on a reasonably new release of Babylon Berlin; I can provide sample files and screenshots of that too, if required.
Has it been that long. I donât remember. I know there were some other issues that you identified that were fixed before. This specific one was looked at but they couldnât find a cause at the time, and they havenât had time to spend more time to investigate. Hopefully in the new year I can push them to take a look again.
Thanks. Yes, subtitles used to disappear and cause the android app to crash. That all got fixed. Itâs just the rendering issue that remains. You have the samples from me and those from @FlashMasta but if you need anything else, then Iâm happy to help.
Hi @anon18523487 here is a modern manufactured DVD with the same issue: âBabylon Berlinâ s3e2. The sample file is the exact place the issue occurs.
