Missing actor photos - when they used to be there before

So this issue has been happening lately and I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on. I have a library of about 2k movies and several hundred TV shows and over time the photos for any given actor just go poof and disappear. The actor photo is replaced by a circle with the actor’s initials in it. I have tried to manually refresh the affected items, and the actor photos will repopulate, but in a few days they inevitably disappear. I am not using the Plex metadata agents, I am using the TVDB and TMDb for the TV and Movie libraries. I did not want to do a metadata refresh on the entire library because that would take forever and not all files are affected by this bug. Any ideas what could be up? A specific example was “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” - I refreshed metadata a couple days ago and Harrison Ford repopulated, but now he is replaced on my server screen by a gray circle. On my Roku, he just had initials. Any help is appreciated, attached is a screen shot of Temple of Doom on the server.

EDIT
I went into the advanced settings of the movie library section and found that the metadata agent was set to the legacy agent. Modified and will see if that fixes it.

Same exact issue. A couple of days ago, my android client, on a Fire Cube, no longer shows actors, or any info other than thumbnail, duration, and year. Also, as far as buttons, I only now have play, mark as played, and more (where subtitles are). I used to have play, or resume, start from beginning, etc…

Nothing has changed on my server’s library.

I even downloaded the newest version of the server yesterday hoping that would fix the issue. No joy.

Anyone have any ideas?
