Hi! I deployed a Plex server on my Synology NAS a while ago. I couldn’t get it to display album art for FLAC files included in my library throughout this time. The album cover field is blank for all my FLAC files. I tried scanning with different agents and also tried different programs to embed album art in the files. I had no success doing so. Plex Media Server Logs_2021-04-20_19-26-30.zip (3.0 MB)
I uploaded a log where after restarting plex, I went to the library and tried to refresh metadata on one of the FLAC files included in my library.
I’d be very grateful for any support!
Thanks!
Filip
Hi, thanks for your message. All cover arts are embedded in my files. The covers are not showing up only for flac files. Mp3’s are working properly. As for the settings, I have “local media assets agent” checked.
Thank you for your help and the information provided. I have it set to “prefer local metadata,” but album art was set to “plex only,” as this one makes the album art at least work for mp3s. Weirdly enough, if I switch to “local files only,” every single file in my library displays the same album art. So it looks like this
That actually fixed everything We touched upon. Indeed, there was a couple of hidden jpg files in the folder. Once I deleted them, I could switch to “prefer local data,” and everything worked after rescanning. Both mp3 and FLAC files have their artworks visible.
Thank you very much for your persistence in finding the solution! I appreciate it very much!
