I have had this issues for years now, thought it was just the old tablet I was using. Replaced it with a new Samsung tablet and it has the same issue. Check on my phone (pixel 4xl) happens there as well. It does not happen on either my shield or my Sony tv Plex apps.
When scrolling through my movie library random movies will be missing the cover art, name and nothing happens when clicked. It is always the movie in the middle column but ransoms rows. I can scroll up and down and it will stay missing. If I go out to the home screen or close the app I can go back to the movie library and the missing movie will now be there. Of course more scrolling and now a different movie will be missing.
