I deleted a lot of files from plex server and now when I load plex client on tv there is no library index for library that files were removed from??
What exactly is the “library index” for you?
When I load Plex on TV and select the library I want and then click Browse, I see all the files in that library and on the right hand side there is an alphabetical list of the first letters from the filenames. I can click on the letter that corresponds to the file I want and that takes me to the files that begin with that letter. This allows me to find the file I want much quicker.
How is the library sorted? The index doesn’t appear unless the library is sorted by Title (or Album Artist, in a Music library).
If you deleted so much that you only have one or two dozen items in the library left, the jump list may not appear until there have been added more items again
I almost mentioned that, but I just looked at my (Android TV) app and the index is there in a library that only has 8 or 10 items. It looks like there’s been a change, at least in some apps.
Library is sorted by title.
There are 37 items in library after clean out.
37 might simply be too few.
