I reinstalled Windows on my machine and therefore also Plex. And as usual I backup the Plex metadata folder and when I have reinstalled Plex again I copy it back. Works every time and it did work this time also except a few movie posters missing.
It’s specifically movie posters, not TV-shows, and also some posters for actors that is in the movies.
I try to edit the poster and I get the option to pick one that actually works. I pick it and still nothing, the poster is still just gray. The poster does the flip animation when I save but nothing shows up. I have attached a photo of what it looks like.
I tried to remove the movie from the library and then add it back. Same issue but this time I could edit the poster and then it does show up when I save.
So I’m guessing there are some files missing in the backup. Question is can I see exactly which file Plex tries to access to display the poster? If I knew where it was saved maybe I could copy it to the correct location. Or maybe someone has run into this problem before?
