Missing Movies from Library

i recently updated my plex library and i am missing about 20 movies from my file and the plex server. how do i identify the missing files and how do i get them updated into plex?

#1 check for duplicates, then I would use something like Releases · WebTools-NG/WebTools-NG · GitHub to identify any wrongly matched files.

I always recommend including the imdb id in the filename for ease of matching and reviewing.
