Plex Web is still on the old version 3.108.2 and not on the new version 4.6. Why don’t the server updates include new Plex Web versions anymore?
Plex Web 3.108.2 only include an UNO Preview, I really want to use the release version …
Then use the hosted URL https://app.plex.tv/desktop — the local URL will almost always lag from the most recent release.
I don’t want to broadcast my server to the internet, therefore it has no connection to the internet. There is a reason for using the local version.
Nothing is broadcasted to the internet.
The address app.plex.tv is only determining from where the Plex Web app is loaded into your browser.
Once this is done, it works the same as the local web app.
With no internet connection it does not work.

Switch it to TV mode
Then go into the Settings - Manual Servers
and put in the IP address of your server
Afterwards you can switch back to Desktop mode
No way, I can´t configure anything in Plex Media Player, it only shows the error message “Plex is not reachable”.
The local plex web app is the best tool for my setup. Why doesn’t it get updates anymore?
It will get updated eventually.
Despite this error message, it should still show you the icon to switch to TV mode.
An updated version will get included with a new server version, once it has been stabilized sufficiently.
There is nothing then the error message. Without internet connection, the player does not start propably.

I don’t know what you are trying to do there, since obviously you have internet connection in some way.
Be advised that you will run into these kind of problems again and again, if you are trying to use Plex Pass features, like Plex Home and Managed. Plex was not built to be used permanently offline.

I opened this thread only to ask for local Plex Web updates.
But the answer isn’t really satisfying 
Plex Web 4.x uses the new UNO interface. Some people still prefer the old version. The local version hasn’t been updated to allow users more time to use the old version until UNO becomes public to everyone. This update will probably occur within the next couple of PMS updates.
