Installed 1.16.1.1246 (docker on unRaid). Wrote down my DVR shows and then deleted the 2 HDHomeRun CONNECT Quatro network DVRs (both antenna). Reinstalled DVRs, downloaded EPG (zip 98208) for selected channels (I only get 5 clear enough to record). Went into the schedule and deleted each of the “old” scheduled shows. Recreated each with my default settings but was unable to find “RightThisMinute” to set up recording. Show airs on CBS (Kiro7 in my area). Went to IMDB, stations web site as well as the LIVE tv guide and verified the show still exists and is airing episodes. I was able to setup recording by finding it in the live tv guide and clicking from there.
So I had the same issue and then realized that for some reason after upgrading the guide was attempting to use Comcast instead of Verizon Fios. I have Verizon Fios but after upgrading it got changed to Comcast and all my recordings were gone because of the channel mismatch… I decided to delete both my tuner devices and I am in the middle of re-adding… I could not find a way replace Comcast to Verizon. I hope that re-adding will let me pick Verizon again and the issue will be resolved
ok, I have the prime which uses a cable card… I am still in the middle of re-adding the second tuner… but if this work for me… I would try re-adding the tuner, because the issue might be that after you enter your zip code for best match to your OTA channels, you might get a different option to what your server is using right now
Ok so far so good… it is downloading the right guide data… it is at 20% right now. Also one of the recordings that was supposed to start 28 minutes ago, just started recording successfully… I think the issue is resolved now
I noticed that the screen that shows the upcoming schedule is empty. Scrolling through the TV Guide view does indicate shows that are scheduled to record (the “late shows” for today). Will see if it’s just a bug or in fact they don’t record.
For me, they were all gone and when I went to that screen all my scheduled recording were showing no future programming. It is all fixed now and all programing for my scheduled recording is back. In my case, the issue was the mismatch in the channel lineup numbering between comcast and verizon… when the guide refresh started, I noticed a message that it was pulling the data for the comcast lineup and not verizon…
I saw this to. Instead of deleting the DVR and starting over, I went to the Recording Priority, clicked on each show/movie and then clicked Save. As I did this, all the future shows started populating. In many cases I saw that the thumbnail image for the show was replaced with a new image. The only problem I had was that some shows (Twilight Zone, Death Valley Days, and Touched by an Angel) had their season number replaced by a year. I have 2019-E1 instead of the actual season, maybe S2-E1. The first show that should have recorded (Jeopardy) did in fact just started recording a few minutes ago. I had several old movies that when I saved the recording, it didn’t find the movie to record. Still have to resolve this.
@interweb-tech: I am noticing a similar issue, but it seems to be tied to the HD setting.
If I set ‘Prefer HD’, then I get SD recordings. If I set ‘HD only’, there’s no recording available (though it shows in the guide). Workaround is to hard-code the channel # to the HD channel.
This is on Comcast Cablecard, so could be different from you.
This was working with 1.16.0.1220. Think it’s a regression. And I did already re-create the DVR.
I’m also finding for recurring recordings that are scheduled, I need to delete and recreate the recording rule for the recordings to show up in the schedule.
@OttoKerner, I am also seeing that a lot of shows are now showing as New even though they are re-runs… for example SNL is showing as scheduled to be recorded this Saturday. Other shows, like the Simpsons and Family Guy are all being displayed as new shows for re-runs… is this something that the team can fix? I am not sure who the new guide provider is.
I’m also noticing that Plex only sees SD channels. Setting recording priority to HD Only produces no matches.
I had deleted my DVR and let a full channel scan complete (took forever) last night before arriving at that conclusion. This morning I noticed that the two shows that recorded between then and now are in SD (booo!).
This morning I edited the scanned channels in Plex and deleted all SD channels that have HD counterparts (as well as foreign, shopping and other unwanted channels) and am now doing a guide refresh. Guide refresh is moving a little faster now that the channel list is much smaller.
After the guide refresh it looks like my scheduled recordings are now targeting the proper HD channels though the details of each scheduled recording still show “SD”. If I force one of these recordings to record "HD Only " instead of “Prefer HD” they show “no upcoming airings”.
I’m frustrated that Plex clearly sprung this on all of us without adequate testing. The fallout from this is not going to be pretty. I just hope that the several hours I’ve now put into this will result in successful HD recordings.
I read somewhere else that they know about the issue and they are working on a fix for the HD stuff… looks like the guide thinks everything is SD. The only workaround right now is to specify your HD channel manually for the scheduled recording.
I ended downgrading to 1.16.0.1226. Too many issues with the new guide… live tv was working ok, but it missed recording a lot of my shows. Sometimes I could not even schedule a recording for a channel that I was watching. Plex should consider delaying until they do more testing with the new guide, it is a total mess. The show names are all screw up, scheduling is now broken; even if I try to select the channel manually it still do not record anything. I think it might be related to the SD/HD issue.
