Plex does not support movies and series in the same library.
- Use a Movies library for movies.
- Use a TV Shows library for your TV shows / series.
- Follow Plex naming requirements for each.
- You may need to Plex Dance your media after any renaming/reorganizing.
Edit: You can use collections to group movies and TV shows.
If you tag the movies and shows with the same collection, they will appear together in the Movies or TV Show library under the collection name. You must also edit the library and enable collections.
Example with Star Wars movies and TV shows:
