MKV Audio problem

Hello all,

 

Trialing Xbox one as a media centre replacement for my Popcorn Hour. Currently it ticks all the boxes, apart from an audio issue with MKV.

 

File video plays fine and so does some audio (background music, theme music, sound effects etc)... but when someone speaks, the is no sound.

 

Examples of files not working correctly include: Arrow, Community and The Walking Dead - all MKV, AC3 5.1

 

Interestingly, the following file works fine although it is the same audio format.

 

Adventure Time  - MKV AC3 5.1

 

I have tested these files direct on the Plex server and the audio is fine.

 

Any ideas?  It seems like the audio track  (English / German / Etc)... but that is a git of a guess.

 

Thanks for any help - let me know if you need more data about the files to narrow down the issue.

Just tested these same files on the Xbox 360 and all audio worked... problem (for me) is isolated to the Xbox One app

OK - Turned out not to be a Plex app issue but an Xbox setup issue.

If anyone else has a similar issue, got to xbox settings, display and audio and adjust the audio settings (7.1, 5.1, Stereo).
