MKV Files issues

Hey people!

First time posting, but I was unable to find a solution elsewhere so I thought maybe someone else has had a similar issue.

I currently have plex connect running on my ATV3 wirelessly via my PC.

It's been running fine, and I have been able to watch 1080p mkv movies running at the highest transcode setting. I have a TV Show that was I was watching, and just started a new season, and the entire season has a problem playing. The audio plays in real time and the video plays half speed, with the terrible quality.

Those files are 720p mkv files. However so was the season before it. So why am I able to play a movie that's 1080p mkv, another season that's 720p mkv. But not that season.

For those of you about to say to turn the transcoding down, I have, the videos did play on the lowest setting with horrible quality.

Side note: I also have tested the episodes on my PC and they play fine.

So if you have any light to shed, be my guest! Because i'm stumped.

You will need to provide Logs and media info for the effected files.  Have a look at the Pinned "READ BEFORE POSTING" thread specifically how to report a problem and provide all the information requested in the template, this will help us work out what is wrong with those files.

To be clear: mkv is just a container - it can "contain" any kind of videotrack whether it be avi, xvid, mpeg2 etc. This is where the differences come from.

I did a little more research, and I believe it's to do with the bit depth.

The latest season was done using bit depth 10, whereas the previous season was done with a bit depth of 8.
