What does the “Get Plex Pass” get me vs the “Activate”? Is the “Get Plex Pass” a one time payment, or a subscription? I’m assuming that the “Activate” is just to purchase the app and allow me to watch the content on my Plex server, is that correct?

Correct. But it unlocks only devices which are signed into the same app store account on the same app store. i.e. buying the app unlock on Google Play will not unlock the app on iOS or on an Amazon device.

It can be had as a one-time payment (life time) or as a subscription (monthly, yearly).
