Modern Metadata Agents Missing on Windows — TMDB Agent Not Available Even on Beta

I’m running Plex Media Server on Windows (version 1.43.0.10492).
No matter what I try, the modern metadata agents never appear on my server.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:
• Reinstalled Plex Media Server
• Switched update channel to Beta
• Restarted the server multiple times
• Created new libraries from scratch
• Enabled advanced settings
• Checked Metadata Agents
• Checked Agents (Legacy)

The problem:
My server only shows:
• Metadata Agents (experimental providers only)
• Agents (Legacy) — Local Media Assets, Personal Media, Plex Movie (Legacy), TMDB (Legacy)

But I do NOT see the modern agent section:
Settings → Agents → Movies

Because of this, I cannot select The Movie Database (TMDB) as the agent for any library.
New libraries still only offer legacy agents, and I only get 2 posters for every movie or collection.

It looks like the modern metadata engine is missing entirely from my install.

Is this a known issue with the current Windows builds?
Is there a way to restore the modern agents (TMDB, Plex Movie modern, etc.)?

Any guidance from Plex staff or anyone who has solved this would be appreciated.

So when you create the new library, under advanced settings the modern agents aren’t available in the Agent dropdown? E.g., below, “Plex Series” is the modern agent:

There is no modern built-in TMDB agent, both the built-in movie and series agents pull from multiple sources. Any tweaks you want to make to those agents are done at the library level in the library’s advanced settings, like using TMDB episode ordering when using the modern Plex Series agent:

To add to @DTR’s post.

TMDB is a Legacy Agent. It has been for years. It has not been updated in quite some time.

You are strongly encouraged to use the modern Plex Movie and Plex Series agents. They receive regular updates. Also, some Plex features require use of the modern agents.

At some point the legacy agents will be completely removed from Plex Media Server. They have already been removed from Plex Media Server running on the Nvidia Shield.

The legacy agents are still in PMS. However, beginning with Plex Media Server 1.43, they are hidden by default.

To make them visible, in Settings → Library: enable Show legacy agents during library setup. Then refresh the browser window (or close the window and open a new one).

You will then see Plex Movie (Legacy) and The Movie Database when creating a new movie library. You will see similar choices when creating a new TV show library.

Regarding Settings → Metadata Agents…

As displayed in the settings, that is an experimental feature. It allows for the development of 3rd party metadata agents. There is also a link to the documentation if you wish additional details.
