Mood Radio behaviour / possible improvement?

When listening to Mood Radios, I often get songs that I do not think really fit the bill. Initially, I thought this might just be subjective differences between me and whoever tagged the songs. But I delved a bit further. I’ll give an example.

When listening to the Gentle Radio today I had a fast paced blue rocker come on (Motherless Children). When I look at the tags for that song, Gentle is not included as a mood. However, Gentle is a mood tag for the album itself (461 Ocean Boulevard). It is not a mood for the artist (Eric Clapton).

When Plexamp produces the mood radios, is it producing them based upon the tags for the album exclusively. Or some combination of album, track and artist?

Given there can be a wide difference between moods on a single album, is using the album tag the best way? I’d prefer it be based exclusively on the track tag.

These moods are only stored per album in Plex, not per song. That’s the reason.

I’m sure it’s just me, but I don’t understand what you mean… I can look at the tags for a specific track, I can see them… I apologise in advance if I am missing something abvious about your response.

Those per-track moods are very rare. Try some other albums by other artists. Most of them have unfortunately only moods per album.
Sometimes, there are even only moods on the artist.
