I was playing some mood radios in Plexamp today and I noticed they are based on the moods of albums not tracks. Shouldn’t they be based on track moods? Those moods are captured. If I pick “fun” radio it will give me songs from a “fun” album. But…the songs from that album aren’t necessarily all “fun”. Just curious how this works.
Edit…just to provide an example. Brooding radio gave me Sultans of Swing from Dire Straits Live at the BBC. That album is tagged as “brooding” but the song isn’t. I would think that brooding radio should play brooding songs.
How did you get your tracks to have moods? Most of mine don’t. It seems a lot of my music is not getting tagged properly with genre or moods, even albums.
Few tracks have moods, and they aren’t used. Artists and albums have moods, as long as you’re running new music system and have “mainstream” music (read: anything you can find on AllMusic.com).
When in doubt, refresh metadata for an artist or album and see if you get moods.
Which looks like all possible moods for all tracks on the album. Doesn’t match Allmusic at any rate. And track “Kate” has no song Mood tags at all, while on Allmusic the tags look accurate.
