Please add more granular tagging for artist in PlexAmp. Currently all kinds of metal (from hard rock to funeral doom metal, passing through heavy metal, death metal, grindcore, etc) are all classified as Pop/Rock.
Though it’s amusing to see both Judas Priest, Behemoth and Bell Witch all classified as Pop/Rock this don’t really convey the reality that the three bands play really different genres.
If you have correct Genre meta tags applied to your music files,
edit your music library in Plex.
On the Advanced tab, you can set from where the Genre in Plex shall be populated. Set them to “Embedded Tags”. Then Refresh Metadata of the whole library.
Once this is complete, artists and albums shall reflect what genre tags are in your files.
