Most Current Player?

i have the following pmp install files on my drive, and i’m guessing that the 1.29.1.1974 is the most recent player while the htpc is the new htpc version of the player? is that right?

assuming this is correct, is there any reason to use a pmp player earlier than 1.29.1.1974?

There are three separate applications. PMP & Plex HTPC are oriented toward HTPC users. Plex for Mac/Win, is oriented towards Mac/Win desktop/laptop users.

Plex HTPC (announcement), still under development, is the replacement for Plex Media Player (docs).

Plex for Mac/Windows (docs) is a separate application. It resembles Plex Web, and is not oriented towards HTPC users.
