Plex is picking up the French release date for some reason: Madre (2017) - Release Info - IMDb.
Not sure why Plex is combining the movies on your server. It is not doing so on mine.
You must be using the Plex Movie agent & scanner for Plex to pick up the IMDB/TMDB ID.
Plex Dance both movies, then return them one at a time to the movie library. See if that helps.
How I named the movies:
/Movies
.../Madre (2017) {imdb-tt6597824}/Madre (2017) {imdb-tt6597824}.mkv
.../Mother! (2017) {imdb-tt5109784}/Mother! (2017) {imdb-tt5109784}.mkv
Plex picked up the French release date for Madre. I edited it to the Spanish release date 17 March 2017 and refreshed the metadata. Plex picked up the new date and did not combine the movies.
