I tried everything, to split them, to add a IMDB tag, to “Fix Match”, but at the end they are always treated as one and same movie. Seems the IMDB tag has no effect.
Why does that happen?
How can I force Plex, to treat them as two different movies?
The one thing I notice is that the tt9138170 movie is listed on IMDB as a 2020 movie. You might try correcting the year in your folder/filenames and see if that helps.
but you should be able to split them apart first then do a fix match on whichever needs it. In the fix match search make the year field blank and just enter the imdb number tt9138170 or tt14032696 in the Title field
Thanks, tried that. Problem is not looking up the right movie, problem is that Plex combines them again as one movie, even when I split them apart and match them separatly.
It’s a mounted folder from a NAS: /mnt/station11/Torrent/_Torrent/.
I changed the year of a movie, seems that Plex doesn’t combine them anymore, but now wrong resolution.
I think if you point Plex at the first folder /mnt/station11/Torrent/ ← the Plex scanner would think that everything in the last folder _Torrent folder belonged to one show.
It would try combine all your shows into one giant mess
yes it is expecting the next folder to be an individual movie or show folder. If it is not then it often just finds the first file, takes the naming from that and treats the rest as duplicates like in your first screenshot.
The search thing is a different issue which is there is a bug report for.
We also always strongly suggest not using Downloads type folders which are always changing to be a library folder.
