I just upgraded my Win10 PC that has my main Plex server running on it. After re-installing the Plex server, it can no longer connect to that server. I didn’t wipe any content folders. They are all still there. How can I get Plex to see my old server and re-connect all the old data?
Anyone? Trying to find where my old settings are stored to get them back. Thanks…
Look in home directory of username used to install PMS. May have to show hidden files to see AppData directory.
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server

I’m sorry but this didn’t make sense. The server can’t connect to the server?
I have a server named “Rich-PC”. I re-installed Plex Media Server and it sees that server as “Offline”.
I got around this by creating a new server called Rich-PC and deleting the old one (after putting …\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server into place) and then re-doing my shares to users, etc. A bit strange, but it worked.
