@Moussa What is the current status of the Xbox Buffer bug?

@Moussa You were able to reproduce this issue months ago and gave the info to MS, On the MS Xbox insider reddit MS devs have acknowledged the issue and said they were looking at it. The issue even ended up for a short time on the known issues list for the Xbox OS then was removed from the list without it being fixed. Many of us have reported the issue on our consoles dozens and dozens of times

The problem though is this was 3-6 months ago. Since the fall this issue has not been resolved and both sides of the problem have ignored it.

A bug where it is reproducible and both sides say yes this is a bug should have been resolved by now.

Yes, @Moussa. Any word on this painful issue would be most appreciated. Thanks

Bueller? @Moussa any comment on this? or can any other Plex dev comment?

Wonder if we will ever get any real update on this issue?

It’s like you bring up this long going issue and forums grow silent .

Still nothing

@Moussa I use my Xbox One X console to watch PLEX content ALL the time and am really surprised this hasn’t been fixed a long time ago. An update on the progress on the fix for the Xbox app would be really appreciated.

We are being ignored again

And more nothing from Plex and MS on this issue

A new Xbox Dashboard update is rolling out for everybody right now, with noticeably improved speed, overhauled UI , lots of bugfixes and other improvements.

Plex app on Xbox buffering still happens tho.
This is only up to Plex Team to fix.

They did it last year with the previous app, but it’s now broken again for months.

@Moussa , please, do something or at least update all of us.
Xbox Series X is also around the corner, and it will soon sell like pancakes (with its confirmed 12 TFLOPS of power).

@Moussa hasn’t even responded to my PM’s in a long time. Think plex went awol as far as support goes.

and plex will still buffer

does @Moussa still even work at Plex?

Plex’s support model is pretty crappy, a confirmed bug from both sides and after months they simply ignore it. This is not a user error or a setup problem but an actual program bug with the way Plex works ont he Xbox

Thanks for at least chiming in to this thread. I see you have been responsive and supportive on numerous other topics and posts.

I’m another user who jumped in head first into the Plex multiverse, primarily as a long time Windows Media Center and (WMC Extender via XBox) user who was hoping for a replacement service.

Though we recently cut the cord, I still rely on Plex for OTA DVR as well as for serving up the hundreds of movies I recorded and edited both to my TV via my XBox One as well as my other devices.

The issues plaguing the Plex XBox app in regards to file playback as well as live TV have gone on too long and there is so much evidence that indicates that Plex is either broken or doing something wrong compared to other apps that don’t have these basic issues . Playback of the same files over Kodi and Live TV streamed from the HDHomeRun App is without the problematic bufering that we have all seen with Plex on the Xbox One.

The vast majority of us here are trying to be helpful and would offer any help we could provide as long as Plex was willing to engage and actually tackle this issue.

I think the frustration that is evidenced here by users is absolutely founded. Wouldn’t you agree?
