I take it that is quite complicated or even close to impossible? Do I have to start my Plex Media Server ”from scratch” if I start to use it on an NVIDIA SHIELD?

However, with https://www.npmjs.com/package/plex-sync you should be able to get the Watched status to match up with your old server.
