Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058
Player Version#: 4.8.4
I recently upgraded my server from a Windows 7 machine to a newer and faster Windows 10 machine with a better processor and more RAM. Prior to this migration Plex was working perfectly fine all around. Load times were minimal both inside and outside my network. Both my PMS folder containing player data and my media files were all stored on a 6 GB external HDD.
When I got my new machine I followed the steps to migrate a server following the instructions provided by Plex at https://support.plex.tv/articles/201370363-move-an-install-to-another-system/. I had actually done this before without issue when moving everything from my internal drive to my external drive. When I did that the migration went perfectly and everything functioned as it always had.
On the new machine Load times are about 10 times what they were on my Windows 7 PC, in fact, just getting the selections with images to load on a Roku takes minutes. Playback is also having issues, as it will stop and reload frequently, sometimes taking 50+ seconds to start, only to stop moments later and reload. As it is, my server is currently worthless.
I have searched and read many threads, but I cannot determine the issue. I have ensured that Windows is not putting any USB devices, or my wireless card to sleep. This has been going on for about a week at this point and I have since uninstalled Plex, pointed it back to my internal drive for the PMS folder, and completely rebuilt the databases.
My gut is telling me that Windows 10 is doing something that 7 was not and it is causing my issue, but I am at a loss. Any suggestions, insight, or general help would be greatly appreciated!
