Movie: During streaming player switches to different audio-track

Server Version#:1.24.5.5173.7000
Player Version#: 1.35.1.2632-c6783c78

Some of my movies do have an original audio track other than the “general setting” (Sprache / bevorzugte Tonsprache: English) for example
→ A) Les rivieres pourpres: French
→ B) Internal Affairs: Chinese
→ C) Jamaica Inn: here the original audio track is “mono”, The audio commentary is stereo.

PROBLEM
During playing the movies Plex “switches” the audio track: A&B from original language to EN and C) from mono to stereo.

How can I prevent Plex player from switching?

Thanks for your help!

I found this: Account Audio/Subtitle Language Settings

Note : If you ever manually change the audio or subtitle track for an item in your Plex library (either during playback or on the preplay screen), that manual selection will always override any automatic selection (see below) that would have otherwise happened. Once you manually select something, it will never automatically change again.

This is exactly happening in my case. The audio track automatically change back. This is truly annoying!

Any idea how to fix the problem?

I too am noticing this now as well. It only changes back during playback, so if you pause the video, change the audio stream, and leave it, it stays, but within seconds of hitting play, it reverts the audio stream back again. It is beyond frustrating when the default audio track is not the preferred one.

I found that opening https://plex.tv and starting the particular episode there, and then again playing it through the Plex windows App, the audio doesn’t seem to change, so definitely some kind of an annoying bug.

Same thing here. My observation:
Seems like there is some timer of inactivity (you know, no mouse move),
and/or it may be connected to Windows “inactivity sensor/timer also”.

Workaround:
Make your movie to be fully analyzed before you play it.
(I have observed that after night “auto-optimization/refresh”
this problem does not occur anymore)

Summary: it IS a BIG problem from user perspective, because in panic
you do not know if the file is corrupted? why this is happening?
(and most of users are not willing to wait for night analysis)

Another observation - I am very gratefull for option that enables mixing Theatrical and Directors Cut audio for specified language, if not it returns to default, maybe there is a bug?
