I have checked a few threads but couldn’t find a solution. I have a single movie that keeps disappearing from my server after a few hours. I delete the file and re-add it, it loads all the correct meta-data, artwork, etc and then later on that day, it is just gone. The file is still in my folder but movie is gone from my plex server. I have checked for duplicates and there are none. I checked IMDB and there aren’t alternative names it could have changed to… how do i find it? or make it stop disappearing?
Workaround: rename the folder to something like Extr4 Ordinary (2019)
Do this with the name of the video file: Extr4 Ordinary (2019) - [imdb-tt8233874].ext
This should be enough if your library has already be converted to use the new “Plex Movie” agent.
If you haven’t converted the library yet, add a text file beside the video file. Name it precisely the same as the video, apart from the file name extension ofc.
Edit the file and copy the IMDb website link from above into it, simply as text.
Finally, change the file name extension from .txt to .nfo
