Movie Library is capturing everything in my computer

I have a new Windows 11 computer. When I installed Plex I added a library where my movies are located. I only wanted that library scanned for movies. However, Plex has scanned my entire PC so I get every video on my entire computer. How do I fix this problem?

  1. Edit the library in question → ⋮ > Manage Library > Edit...
  2. Navigate to the Add Folder tab
  3. Verify what folder is linked to your library… given your description you probably pointed the library to a root drive (e.g. C:\) or some Windows library that again points to various other folders – so fixing this should fix your problem
