I just recently updated to 1.12.2.4929 and now all the movie collections show up mixed in with all the movies making an extremely messy view is this the new normal?

What happened to having a separate view for collections? When set to all both are displayed and when set to collections only collections are displayed. Would be nice to have a choice for this or a third option that would show all without the collections mixed in like before. When you have 5000 plus movies this gets really messy.

Just disable the ‘mixed’ view and everything will go back to how it was before.

Trying to do that in 1 library - to me - seems like madness.

That’s probably a bit extreme for most people, but it’s working out for me - until it doesn’t - then I can do something else… but I would never even consider having all my eggs in one basket, as that would probably cause me to lose most of my marbles.

Uh… not at my house.

At my house we have more Libraries - with less stuff in them.

  1. access is quick - like bunny
  2. I don’t go out of my mind when using an app and finding 5000 items in two horizontal rows running from here to the fricken moon and back
  3. when I move stuff to a new HDD (on a regular basis - just like everyone else) it sure is easy to move a smaller library in whole - than it is to try to figure out what to move.

It’s not just me that has to deal with all of this.
Friends and Family agree it’s pretty easy to deal with things the way they are - without them having to employ fancy filtering or any of that search nonsense when they sit down to watch something. If it’s not where it’s supposed to be - it probably doesn’t exist and they can stop looking for it.
