Apparently whichever PMS release introduced the Plex Movie agent and retired Freebase has messed up my ability to scrape certain metadata from NFOs. I use Ember Media Manager and an NFO(Movie) agent downloaded from this forum a year or 2 ago which had worked just fine with as long as the agent for my movie library was set to Freebase. Now with the Plex Movie agent and scanner, I get very different results on my 2 Plex servers:
On unRAID (v6.1.9), using PMS 1.0.1.2396 as a docker downloaded from the Needo repo:
*Director, Writer, and Cast fields no longer scrape or even appear in Plex at all for new movies added
*Genre, Tagline, Rating and Plot Summary all do scrape correctly from the NFO
On Windows 8.1 using PMS 1.0.2.2413:
*All fields are populated (including Director, Writer, and Cast) but all of it is from the web (including genre and plot summary) with the NFO completely ignored and with the NFO(Movie) agent no longer appearing in the Agent settings
Any suggestions on how I can get Plex to scrape all relevant metadata from my NFOs again? Cast especially is important to me because with a large library and without the ability to have only the best known actors displayed, filtering by cast through any Plex player becomes completely useless if you’re just stuck with whatever is scraped from the web. It just takes way too long to scroll past all the no names.
